Mrs. Lively

Mrs. Lively attended Farmington High School.  She then  graduated from Mineral Area College with an Associate's Degree, and she later attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.  She majored in English.  She also attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to work on her teacher certification.  While she was attending Cameron, she was a member of Sigma Tau Delta ( an English Honor Society).  She lived in Oklahoma for 6 years.   She has three daughters:  Taylor, Emma, and Grace.  Her favorite author is Anne Rice.  She also is a proud sponsor of TLC and the 2013 graduating class.

Composition II

Works extensively with the paragraph as the basic unit of English composition. Usage and mechanical problems are dealt with as students read and analyze great works of literature in the various genres.

 

 

Reading Strategy

This course is to catch freshman up on their reading. It will increase reading comprehension, vocabulary, making predictions, finding the main idea, making inferences, identifying cause and effect, analyzing characters' decisions, and  identifying literary elements.

 

 

Practical English 1

This course is designed to reemphasize and further develop the previously-learned English skills.  Grammar, composition, literature, spelling and vocabulary are stressed through out the course.
