Mr. Kester teaches History.  He has been teaching for thirteen years.  His hobbies are teaching and learning about history.  He also loves writing an article for the Missouri Historical Review about slavery in the mines of the Lead Belt.

Classes

World Geo History

Students will learn about ways of living which differ from their own and the relationship of geography and other Social Studies disciplines including history and political science.

 

Sociology

This course will center on the development of culture and the socialization process; man's efforts to create culture to provide for his needs; and the institutionalization process which gradually creates normative behavior patterns, thus making group existence possible.

 

American Heritage

Students will be asked to examine the past with a critical eye, not to evaluate our successes and failures, but to simply understand how we became the nation we are today.

Humanities

This course surveys the history, literature, music and art of various western cultures.
