Composition III This is a junior level course that prepares students for college-level courses. It is designed for the student who is capable of above average work in reading and writing. Class work focuses mainly on composition of the four modes of writing and the study of American literature. Students enrolled in this class are urged to also enroll in American Heritage as there are sometimes joint units of study. ACT Prep ACT Prep is a class for all college bound students seeking to improve their ACT scores and earn a college Prep Certificate. In this course students will learn test-taking strategies, review key concepts in the areas of English, math, reading, and science, and explore scholarship opportunities. Emphasis will be placed on test-taking practice and improving ACT composite scores. Co-teachers in English and math teach this class.

Language Arts I This is a freshman-level course that prepares students for later communication courses. It is designed for the student who is capable of average work in reading and writing. Class work focuses mainly on sentence writing techniques, as well as a review of grammar. Introductions to the various literary genres and form of composition are also stressed. |
