Mrs. Cordia

Mrs. Cordia was raised here in Potosi, Missouri.  She attended UMC and UMSL.  She has two children that go to Potosi Schools, Dillon is in 12th grade and Abi is in the 9th grade.  Mrs. Cordia has taught at Potosi for 13 years.  She is the yearbook coordinator at Potosi High School.  Mrs. Cordia's favorite hobby is doing stuff with her children.

Classes  

Composition I

Works extensively with the paragraph as the basic unit of English composition. Usage and mechanical problems are dealt with as students read and analyze great works of literature in the various genres.

 Practical English 1

This course is designed to reemphasize and further develop the previously-learned English skills.  Grammar, composition, literature, spelling and vocabulary are stressed through out the course.

 

 

Applied Communications Tech. English

Applied Communications is a junior level English course designed for students who plan to enter the workforce, attend a technical school, or attend a community college following graduation from high school.  Writing assignments will mirror the communication situations found in the work place.  Leadership, decision-making, group dynamics, job-seeking skills and conflict management will be explored through hands-on activities, and oral and written communication.

Mass Media

This course is a hands-on class using the application of graphic arts with English composition.  Students will be required to meet deadlines, go to various functions, photograph activities, design layouts, and write copy and various correspondences.  Keyboarding skills are helpful.
