Marching BandThe marching band will provide students with the opportunity to develop their non-musical as well as musical skills in an outdoor environment. Marching techniques and instrumental techniques will be taught as well as performed for the public. Students will be required to attend all rehearsals and performances as part of their overall grade in band. Performance dates are given out at the beginning of marching band season.

Symphonic BandThe symphonic band will provide students with advanced skills on his/her particular instrument the opportunity to rehearse and perform with an ensemble of advanced ability. This is a specialized ensemble with limited numbers. All students are placed in symphonic band based on auditions only and will perform advanced concert-based literature. The symphonic band will also provide for all-district and all-state opportunities as well as solo and small ensemble performances at district contest. Students will be required to attend all performances as part of their overall grade in band. Performance dates are given out at the beginning of the symphonic band season. |

Jazz BandThe jazz band will provide each student the opportunity to study the introduction, exploration, and manipulation of the American Art form of Jazz. The study of jazz from the 1930's to present to include all forms associated with jazz and rock with an emphasis on the study of music theory leading to improvisation. The jazz band will perform several public concerts and participate in area jazz festivals each year. The students are required to attend all rehearsals and performances as part of their overall grade in jazz band. |
